Married to Jacqueline Randolph Patten of New Albany, Mississippi.  Received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi, 1975.

                           December, 1996; Harvard Law School, 2000; practicing attorney
                           in Jackson, Mississippi.

                           Elizabeth Patten Hitchcock; Graduated from Mississippi College, 2002. 
                           Doctor of Optometry; Southern College of Optometry 2006.

                           Katherine Patten Carpenter; Graduate from Mississippi College, 2002.
                           Masters Degree in Art Education, University of Mississippi.

Member First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Mississippi.  (Sunday School Teacher; former Vice-Chairman Deacon's Council; Chairman Deacon's Council, 1994-1995 and 1995-1996).

Registered Pharmacist since 1975 and a certified nursing home consultant.

Licensed to practice law in State of Mississippi on January 5, 1978, and currently licensed.

Former President, Board of Directors - Copiah Educational Foundation, Inc., 1995-1996, with prior service as Vice-President and Secretary.

Former member of Board of Directors of Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce.

Began legal practice as an associate with Armstrong and Hoffman, Hazlehurst, Mississippi, in 1978.

Became partner with Armstrong and Hoffman in January, 1981, and remained a partner under the name of Armstrong, Patten, Thomas & Leach, until January 1, 1999.

Elected Chancellor of the Fifteenth Chancery Court District, State of Mississippi, November 3, 1998, for a four-year term beginning January 1, 1999; Re-elected in 2002 for a second four-year term, beginning January 2003; Representative of the Chancery Judges Conference on the Legislative Study Commission on the Mississippi Judicial System; Representative of the Chancery Judges Conference on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules, Vice-Chairman beginning 2005, Chairman of Appellate Rules Sub-Committee beginning 2005;  former Youth Court Referee for Copiah County, Mississippi; former City Judge for town of Wesson, Mississippi.
